I have been buying Mighty Munch Dental Sticks for my Cavalier and Spoodle for about 12 months now, their teeth look great. These absolutely work, no need to brush at all.

Hi David! Thank you for this awesome website! A friend of mine is a vet and she told me that very little is taught about nutrition in vet school. Not surprising, given that vet offices are filled with bags of kibble for sale. Many people are not aware that kibble is carcinogenic. It contains high amounts of acrylamides that occur naturally due to the high heat required to process the kibble. Those pets on an exclusively kibble diet ingest far too much in the way of acrylamides which, over time, often lead to serious health issues. I feed our dogs Wolfit Box. It’s a great option if you wish to feed a natural, raw and fully balanced diet to your dogs. It comes delivered frozen in thin packets which are easy to store in the freezer, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s also surprisingly affordable.

I’ve used Plaque Off in the past and didn’t find it effective. In the end, there’s nothing like brushing their teeth or a good raw bone with tendons still attached. Of course, bones and other hard chews do wear at their teeth over time.

I’ve been using the Mighty Munch dental sticks for sometime and they don’t work. I have to brush every second day. They really market these sticks on Facebook, but I won’t be ordering again. I gave these sticks a good run and found them to be ineffective at removing plaque off my dogs teeth.

Hi Denise, have you tried raw meaty bones or meaty chews? Chicken necks or wings?

The more mechanical abrasion the better, although many dogs opt to chew on one side of their mouth which can lead to plaque on the other side.

The 11kg spoodle chews anything all the time, but the 3kg Cavoodle nothing! so I use seaweed meal on their dinner & brush their teeth but I am still seeing no improvement with their plaque on their teeth! Really annoying not finding what will work to give them nice clean white teeth?
