Offal is beautiful!

It’s sadly something we’ve phased out of our own diets and replaced with convenience food and foods we don’t consider gross, which is a shame as it’s where the best nutrition is. Not that I’ve been successful eating offal myself, although liver pate is something I can stomach and enjoy, and I’ve managed to cook bolognaise with a bit of kidney and liver and my 5 year old didn’t notice!

As for eggs – well and truly my favourite food, for both me and the pets. Given them raw eggs hasn’t been overly successful, but they love a good omelet (and I crush up some shell for good measure).

I trialed a few different brands last year after reading your reviews as my girl is getting old and although has always eaten extremely well, I thought I could do better. She is a tenterfield x foxy girl and we switched to Frontier well over a year ago now, with a small amount of Black Hawk kibble & home cooked chicken & veg (a trio of foods!) I’m wanting to add offal (gross) to her home cooked food also & I’ve been looking into Frontier toppers to boost her nutrients. I currently add ground flaxseed to her brekky. I like the idea of eggs so might boil & sprinkle for her.
She’s a very happy & healthy girl. Thank you again

Hi Julie, adding Frontier Pets as a topper is a great idea in my book. The only caveat would be if your dog has been fed a single brand of food for a while as this can cause a bit of stomach upset when introducing any new foods. If this is the case, add any new food gradually, and if your dogs get runny poos or smelly bums then ease off.

Number 1 go to. We have just bought a trial of Frontier and my thoughts are to use as a topper (expensive full time) to ensure dogs get all nutrients etc. Currently my dogs have a small meaty pork bone in morning. Night beef cheek mince ( from wholesale butcher) i add blended vegies, & chicken drumstick, sometimes with a bit of dry kibble. My question if I start with Frontier as a topper do you think I can add it to our current food? Have border collie / kelpie X and German shepherd / GSP mix both 4yrs males desexed. Thank you in advance.
