I always go with Somerford Raw because the quality is just on another level. After years of struggling to get my dogs consistently interested in their food, they’re finally eating properly and enjoying the food. I love that there are heaps of single‑protein options, which makes it so much easier to manage allergies. Plus, it comes raw, so you can serve it as‑is or cook it if that suits your dogs better.

The service has been excellent every time, super friendly, and easy to deal with. And the free delivery and free bones are such a bonus. It just feels like a company that genuinely cares about dogs and their owners. Plus the packaging isn’t plastic its recyclable carboard. So much better than Lyka in every way.

My dog did not love Lyka nor did his digestion really improve on it.
I have since switched to 5 hounds and my dog not only loves it but his digestion and stools have never been better.
Any chance of a review on 5 hounds? I feel it beats Lyka and should be in your top dog food list.

Very disappointed with Lyka Pet Food that despite following the instructions I ran out of the dog food a week before the next delivery. The two week of reduced price delivery are actually delivered two weeks apart and there was only sufficient food to feed two dogs for one week in the delivery. When I rang to ask where the second delivery was I was told it wasn’t due for another week and they could only bring delivery forward by two days and deliver on Friday so apparently my dogs were to starve between Tuesday and Friday.
When I said I could come and pick some food up, I was told that wasn’t possible and there was absolutely no empathy or solution offered.
When I said I would have to go elsewhere they said “oh that’s fine.”. The lady on the phone also didn’t offer to refund my money so I’ve paid for another week even though I quickly got emails saying my order has been cancelled. There’s been no arrangement offered to return my money.

For Gods sake change your TV add. Has got to be the most revolting add on TV.
Don’t have a dog but I can imagine after reading some of the reviews your product is good, but probably 50% of viewers don’t have a dog and are in the same boat as me.

In reply to Unhappy Cust. Is it raw or lightly cooked and if so is it cooked while food is in its plastic packaging or before it gets put into its packaging? At what temperature? There is the risk of phthalates and microplastics leaching into the food if cooked inside the plastic.

Ken I think you’ve got this all wrong. You don’t have to have it in auto delivery. Your account can be put on hold and only order when you need to.
Thats what we do. Customer service is very good. Delivered when it suits you.
Bear in mind you also can’t use “good and cheap” in the same sentence. You either have good food, or cheap food.
We have had our boordoodle on this for about 6mths and we use it to to supplement his food and not to totally transition his food. He loves it.
