“We have been made aware of quality issues affecting some Meals for Mutts dry food products manufactured from 6 June 2023 onwards, resulting in the development of mould in some products and, in limited cases, the presence of metal.

We have been assisting Meals for Mutts with their investigation of the issue, and Pet Circle has made the decision to action a voluntary recall of Meals for Mutts and Meals for Meows dry food products that have been purchased since 6 June, 2023.

Love your website by the way. It has been really helpful.

Not great news, but at least PetStock are doing the right thing for customers. They recommended Lifewise Cat Food as a good alternative.

Hi Donna, although I would guess Meals for Meows would help in some way, I would consider two things – 1, what you’re currently feeding – is it appropriate for a cat in terms of ingredients, and 2, is your cat getting enough clean water/moisture in his/her diet?

You can also seek advice from Meals for Mutts who make this brand.

Looks exactly the same just not grain free and using different meat proteins.

You could change it every few months if you want, feeding fish all the time isn’t a great idea because of toxin build up, specially with salmon.

http://www.mealsformutts.com.au/cat-kangaroo-turkey.html

Would this be better, worse or the same as the “Mackerel and Salmon grain free” that they’re eating now?

I like bigger ones for Rusty while on Angels hand I know she prefers smaller, she’s very quick to bite us full force but kibble nope haha.

Rusty he loves food so he swallows small kibble whole and kibble expands so I would rather him not do that, Artemis is small but it digests easily as in I dropped it into water and it started melting immediately so I let him swallow a couple whole but it’s mostly fish and potato Blackhawk for him.

Ivory coat fish formula was quiet big, I remember leaving a review on pet warehouse about it being maybe a little too big for small dogs.
Alright yeah I wrote the one con was the kibble was a little large, I’ve only ever had the fish formula my next kibble might be the venison formula as I’ve wanted that one for quiet some time and then I’ll know if they are all big or not.

Unfortunately he won’t touch it! I’m sure it has something to do with the size and shape of the actual biscuits. They are very small and almost heart shaped which he hasn’t liked. I saw him tackling them and attempting but just couldn’t seem to crunch them. He is quite fussy though and seems to prefer the bigger biscuit size like. He didn’t like Canidae Pure either and they are very small biscuits. Looks like I’ll stick to Applaws and Blackhawk after all these attempts at trying new brands every won’t eat are sending me bankrupt! I’d love to see the size of the biscuits stated in reviews (or even better on the actual product packages) so I can steer clear of the small ones and stop wasting my money.

Cats are very healthy with beautiful coats, but the burmese are a little on the fat side and are always looking for other food. I have a kitten who won’t eat Meals for Meows, so I bought her Royal Canin Mother and Baby Cat. Bit concerned after reading your RC review, I am wondering if there is something better for the kitten.
