Hi Cara, it’s worth keeping in mind this happens often when a dog is fed a single brand of food for a long period – it causes intolerance build up (same happens to us), then switching to a different food leads to smelly farts and loose stools.

For this reason I’m a big advocate for variety in a dog’s diet to help balance their diet as well as prevent issues when adding something new to their diet.

We had been feeding our Cavoodle just generic brand food and never had a problem but as my husband and I started to make a little more money, I wanted to try and ensure our dog got the best we could afford. I bought Nood as it looked a better quality but my goodness! The smell of his wind and poos are atrocious! I don’t feel like I did him any favours by changing to nood unfortunately.

My dog enjoys this food but it is causing constipation issues (his poops are dark green and very, very hard and pebbly) so I’m having to mix it with another brand to maintain a passable consistency.

They have discreetly changed the ingredients again – corn is now listed as a main ingredient. Very upsetting to see as it’s one of the only decent rated ones at Cole’s.

My dog was sick as a parrot eating Nood.
Its manufactured on a line that does cleaning products in Asia I think
Warning for all dog lovers to avoid it

I have just brought both dog and cat food In this brand. My dog is a tiny fine little Chihuahua who will never be fat no matter how much she eats but she can be fussy and has a fast metabolism according to the vet but with this food she looks amazing! Her stools are solid and her breath doesn’t smell as much anymore. She still gets other things so it seems a good balance. As for my cat I rescued him and he loves this food. When I got him he was on fancy feast and had the WORST gas ever! Never have I ever smelt or heard a cat fart so much. Lol. Soon as I changed him he’s beed doing amazing although I have had to cut him back as he has 3 legs and gaining a bit to much weight but that’s my fault as he’s a typical cat begging for food and I give in. Haha. But his stools look great and he gets fed wet food morning and night so his deits a bit more balanced. Still looking for a better cheap option but am still doing research on the cat food.

My cat was happily eating this nood dry food for months then all of a sudden the last packet I got she refused to eat it. She would opt to go hungry than have it so after a couple of days I went and got different food for her. I complained to Nood. They said there must be something wrong with my cat and I should take her to the vet.
