I open today Open Paddock kangaroo 3 pack and all of this inside full of kangaroos hairs its very ridiculous how they sell this product!i would put a picture but i cannot here but i will find the way!!!

Most skin problems in dogs are caused by kibble nd the reason why is because kibbles are high carb dog foods.
Wheat, rice and peas are all carbs. Carbs get converted into sugar. Sugar feeds yeast.
The trick is to lower carbs as much as possible.
Kibbles are convenient but you are always better off making your own doggie dinners and feeding some raw using fresh natural ingredients. Fresh meats, some vegetables, some pumpkin for probiotics, a little yogurt or raw milk. Add some sardines, perhaps a little hemp seed oil, coconut oil and fresh eggs.
K9 Naturals and Ziwipeak (commercial freeze dried/ air dried raw) from NZ are good additions. BTW MANUKA HONEY can help fix stomach problems. Keep some handy.

I have tried Eureka, Scratch, Lyka, Frontier Pets, Raw and Fresh and Big Dog for my fussy Frenchie but she seem to love Open Paddock the most which I mix with Premi-Yum another product I found in Woolies. She loves this and will empty her bowl whereas the others she only ate once she realised that was it. If you could do a review of Premi-Yum as well it would be appreciate but for now she seems happy and ready to eat at dinner time 🙂

We feed the Open Paddock Beef to our 3 maremma x dogs. This is the only food that they will eat willingly long term. Other brands they ate for a while, then would turn their noses up. So annoying! Whilst more expensive than other woollies foods, it is less expensive than the pet shop varieties that you have rated similarly. It often goes on sale too, saving 20% off bags, so we stock up whenever this happens. I very rarely pay full price. Our dogs do also get supplemented with the likes of chicken wings, sardines, Norwegian kelp, homemade bone broth and brisket bones. But they are very healthy with lovely coats. If you can’t afford the more expensive brands, I recommend Open Paddock.

In reply to Kerryn McQuade. I have been feeding my dog this food for 3 years and it has been excellent, however recently I noticed a slight change in her no. 2s for the worse, I think the recipe has changed. Not as good as before.

Picked this up last minute because I hadn’t done a pet store run and needed food for my two dogs. Worst decision I’ve ever made. Both dogs extremely sick with liquid blood stools. Avoid at all costs.

In reply to Tracey. Hi, Tracey & Sandra and Open Paddock, We were feeding our lab Open Paddock for over a year and a half with no issues. Since the colour and size changed a few months back, she has had nasty, extremely soft and loose output once a week or so. I am putting it down to the recipe change. I will be taking my unopened packets back to Woolworths to hopefully get a refund.
