Hi Johno, I see the DCM scare as largely a corporate power play, and the real issue being most dog and cat food not having enough animal products rather than it being filled with grain or plant matter.

There is a red herring worth mentioning Chickpeas and DCM…

Thank you for your review – always appreciated, and it’s always good to hear how people have got on with a food.

– Dogs like it, pleasant smell (only used goat&lamb and turkey, duck&chicken)
– Active dogs keep weight on well
Cons:
– Price is quite high compared to some other brands with better ingredients (Orijen and Acana for example).
– Amount of poop after dogs being on this food!!! We feed our dogs (two border collies) according the provided feeding chart, but ended up reducing the food amount as there were so much soft texture poop to pick up. Unfortunately reducing food amount did not change the end result.

Also worth mentioning that our dogs are healthy young adults with no food allergies or special food requirements. After trialling three sacks have decided to change to other food.

Happy to say he’s thriving on the turkey/duck and chicken kibble. No issues, poop is always the same, coat seems softer, kibble smells divine and the 32 percent protein with 18 fat is a good mix for him with his endless energy!
Purchased another 13kg bag for $129 yesterday, good pricing compared to some bigger names that have really hacked up their prices of late on some websites!
Highly recommended
