I’m loving this site for it’s honest opinions and unbiased so many other places online and other forums people that either just campaigning for against raw food.

I have two border Collies and I switch between raw and kibble.

It was this very article that made me start to think about raw in an objective way and testing things out so thank you so much Pet Food Judge

Hi Emma, many thanks for the feedback, and it’s great to hear about the development and success of your whippet on homemade raw!

Yes, unfortunately many pet owners simply want to own a dog and feed it “dog food” without consideration, and even when their pet gets sick in later years they won’t consider diet as the cause. Sadly there will always be poor quality pet foods as long as there are consumers to sell them to, with the result being less than optimum health of pets.

I have worked in a dog food outlet for 6 years, I used this site for all the brands available so I could give good advise to customers who were open to receiving it (many aren’t). I have whippets and my 2 yr old has only ever been fed raw home prepared food. She started competing at lure coursing this year and has had phenomenal results so far. I have no doubt that her diet has played a huge part in this as its allowed optimal growth and muscle development. Thank you for such an amazing resource.

Hi. I love this site for its honest and detailed reviews and based on food I have been recommended from here never have any issues. I have a 12 yo Maltese/shih tzu/poodle mix and 3 yo Maltese/Shih tzu and feed mixture of raw foods either prepared or commercial BARF. I really love Canine Country brand BARF but there is no review on your website for them. Is this something that would be coming in the future. They are also not listed on your American BARF companies, they are local in Yatala QLD. Thanks for considering this.

Adelaide has quite a few raw pet food stores that provide good quality products. Here are a few that we have used. Sometimes its worth travelling to get great quality; we have a freezer for storing, so just buy in bulk as needed.
-The Natural Canine at 615 Marion Rd South Plympton; they stock Barf, Prey and raw products as well as treats
– Raw Fed Riley at Lonsdale has raw meat mixes as well as bones, quality dry food & treats.
– Pets Tucker at Gawler west
– Con Lazopoulos Pet Foods and Livestock at Two Wells
– The Pet Butcher at 95 Bower Rd Ethelton stocks all sorts of raw and also cooked dog meals
