I also found their two probiotic / diarrhoea supplements to be so, so good. It was the main thing that helped my kitty heal up her stools for the first time in many years (IBD cat). I had tried Synbiotic D/C and Ziwipeak rabbit and other novel proteins, but it was only upon finding the Oliver’s Blend and Ava’s Blend supplements that she finally got better. She did get tired of the spirulina taste though and preferred the pumpkin in the diarrhoea one (which isn’t meant to be given every day).

Their dried chicken breast and kangaroo treats are fantastic too – great ‘cat crack’ for training. Almost all cats (and dogs!) go wild for this stuff.

Sadly I tried the freeze dried lamb meal so far with my new cat and he wouldn’t touch it. I have the chicken one to try too, but not too hopeful, the fussy boy. It’s great they offer the trial packs, because the full packs are very expensive.

I love this company though and especially their marketing emails and beautiful cats on their packaging.

After 18 months of not much improvement by feeding vet prescription diet, I worry more about his health, especially his kidney, as dry food + not drinking water is not a good combination. Finally, 4 years ago I did my own research and decided to try Raw Meow. It just make sense that best human diet = fresh food, so why not our pets?!

My boy wolfed down the new food as if he hasn’t been fed for a few days. After 6 weeks of binge eating, he eat less automatically himself, started losing weight and have more energy. I love that by using raw meow mix, I can pick and choose whatever meat I want to use, mix and match proteins as I/ my boy like, and the ability to choose cheaper cuts and won’t affect the nutrition value. My boy love their treats too, especially freeze dried chicken breast, chicken neck and chicken heart. My boy also eats their freeze dried complete meal, he loves all 3 flavours.

For me, I love the fact that raw meow really care about cats, they did their research, only use the best ingredients for their products, no cutting corners, and only have your cat’s best interest in heart – information on their FB page are so good! Other than my home made bone broth and one can a week ziwipeak/ Feline natural, I won’t be feeding my boy anything else other than Raw Meow products, they are simply the best!

You need to convert it to dry matter using a calculator. You have to remember raw meat is 60%+ water, kibble is 10% water. So the numbers appear differently in raw than they do dry.

5% is around 15% fat.
7% is coming up as 25% fat.

I normally get my boy Raw Meow Mix Adult – Chicken or Lamb, and when he’s stubborn I sprinkle some freeze dried treats on top (They will LOVE Kitty Krack!). My boy goes crazy for freeze dried chicken necks!

He is healthy, happy, and wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

I’ve looked at K9 Rawsome for cats before. Only thing I don’t like about it, is it seems quite low in fat. Only 5 and 7% fat content isn’t very good. Cats need higher amount of fats.
