Normal for my finicky Cavoodle but my Blue Heeler who will eat almost anything turned his nose up at the meals. Will be trying 5 hounds, hoping for a review on them soon 🙂

Thanks Justin! I confess to not having AI write the reviews, and I also confess to never proof reading what I write before publishing it! Thank you 🙂

Tried the slow-cooked barramundi for my dog and it was a total disaster. Not only did it smell horrendous, but my dog outright hated it—and now I know why. Within hours, he had runny diarrhoea, was scooting around on the grass and concrete, and ended up with a bleeding bottom and tail. This isn’t just bad food—it’s harmful.

Loaded with cheap vegetable oils and junk ingredients that no human would touch, let alone a pet. I’m furious, heartbroken for my dog, and absolutely disgusted with this product line. It’s a hard never again from me. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who loves their dog. Steer clear—this stuff is garbage. F you “the nosh project”

It’s laughable. It’s basically a expensive tub of fillers .
Other brands such as vit i5 have 15 g calcium per 100 g powder.

Trying hard to make her eat her daily allowance is difficult.
We are feeding her organ meats/mix and also premium air dried food.
When she finishes her “main meal” we give her a treat, and thats the Nosh stuff.
I actually got it half price as an experiment, she licks the bowl clean. Whatever is in this stuff, she loves it.

For a while now I have been cooking home cooked dog food for my lab’s dinner as our male lab needs to do number 2’s overnight if he has kibble for dinner, but not with home cooked food. I will start adding in the Nourish 27 powder too I think. I had a look at the recipes on the Nosh Project website and the protein amount is very slim (7-8% in the recipes) with a high amount of carbs, so keep that in mind if you start making home cooked dog food. Lentils are high in fibre and protein and could be used instead of potato, although I’d reduce the amount as the recipe is high in carbs. I’d also reduce the amount of rice by half. Also, the fat content is low in these recipes. I like to add a few eggs at the end for a bit of extra fat. That’s just how I make our dogs food.

We have been big fans of Lyka for the past 2/3 years but with the cost of living at the moment we have had to reconsider. Purchasing the nosh food would still be too dear, but the option of cooking their recipes and buying the Nourish 27 powder offers some reassurance that I’m not skipping any important minerals/vitamins. Now that I’ve read your review, I’m thinking of adding in a few extra chicken breast/liver pieces to increase the protein component.
